Still Going Strong!

Today we ventured out to share the love of Jesus to the local youth. Pastor Dan delivered the message and then most of the team stayed and watched an exciting soccer tournament. The rest of team returned to Stronghold to either the dental clinic or to do food prep for lunch. We prepared and served fried chicken, vegetables and rice for about 150 people at the soccer tournament.

The last 3 days were spent teaching, playing, laughing, and hugging the children. Dr. Mike worked his magic in the dental clinic and many beautifying projects were completed. This afternoon we dedicated to the parents.

Dr. Mike talked about teeth brushing and having healthy teeth. Diane talked about hand washing and the spreading of germs. Kathy talked about choking prevention and demonstrated the Heimlich maneuver. And lastly, Ron talked about the need for clean water.

We were able to purchase 69 water filters to hand out to the families. Each family received a soap on a rope with instructions along with a water filter and walked away with big beautiful smiles and a heartfelt thank you. You would have thought they won the lottery.

Even though we are half way around the world we know our Heavenly Father is with us and with the people of Cambodia. God is good all the time and all the time, God is good.
