Cornerstone Volunteer Opportunities

There are several ongoing servant opportunities that middle school or high school groups or individual students can participate in to "Live the SIX!" Each of the opportunities listed below requires a group or student to register with a coordinator in advance of serving. Please contact the specific servant event coordinator to schedule a date and time to serve if you are interested or if you would like more information.

Weekly Servant Opportunities

Tech Team

St. John is continuously working to upgrade the technology in our church. This also means we have a need for those who have experience with technology. This is a wide-range spread from running our media, to sound, lights, and our video cameras.

Youth often are front runners in technology. We have many chances for our youth to serve on our Tech Teams. If this is something you want to do, contact Chris at

Crosswalk Catering:

Assist food service staff with Sunday morning breakfast in the St. John Commons. Volunteers will help clear tables and replenish food and supplies on the buffet. You may serve anytime between 8:30am and 11:30am on Sunday mornings.

Coordinator: Grant Cook, Food Service Director:

First Impressions:

Youth are welcome to serve as ushers and greeters at any weekend worship service time. OASIS groups are encouraged to serve as First Impressions teams during the Wednesday Advent and Lenten Services. Youth Ministry will provide more Information about Advent and Lenten Service opportunities to OASIS mentors at a later date.

Coordinator: Annmarie Utech, First Impressions Coordinator:

Children's Ministry:

Youth can serve in so many ways as part of the dynamic Children's Ministry at St. John. Youth can be small group leaders for a small group of children, a "buddy" for a special needs child to help them engage and enjoy the activities, play with young infants/toddlers in the nursery and help them sing songs and participate in a Bible story time, help with tech teams, dramas, singing....the possibilities are endless!
