We are on the last day of the Wind River Indian Reservation (Wyoming) mission trip, which has been both productive and faith-building.
The other evening we were standing outside of a restaurant in the rain waiting for a large table. The hostess asked me if I was one of the "group of 16"! Yes I am. Not as notorious as the "group of 12" but it was still descriptive.
As a group (of 16) we have been doing almost everything together: working, teaching VBS, praying, worshipping, sharing morning devotions, eating, and even enjoying free time. Today we are at the Arapahoe tribe's Head Start program facilities painting outdoor equipment and storage facilities indoors. We also experienced a culture much unlike our own but one that God knows and loves. We do too.
This morning's devotion dealt with how we grew on the trip. We heard testimonials from several group members about their spiritual and personal growth. We also read Bible verses about how God grows our faith through our service to others.
We are leaving tomorrow and will see you all soon.
