Norman is a gentleman in the village of Seine Bight who had an above-knee amputation 2 years ago because of diabetes. He lives in a house on stilts with only stairs to enter and exit his house. The therapy team brought Norman a new wheelchair so he could get around in his home more independently and in his community. He reported to us that the evening he received his wheelchair he hopped down his steps and got into his wheelchair and went to the cemetery where his father was buried. It was the first time he had been able to do that since his amputation. This was really important for him to be able to be independent throughout his community and to visit his father at the cemetery and clean around his gravesite. He was truly grateful and thankful for his new wheelchair!
