Embrace Ambiguity

A favorite phrase of my colleague and friend Jesse, ED of Stronghold Cambodia, is "Embrace Ambiguity!"

This morning, beyond my technological understanding, an email hit my mailbox dated 6/1.  My response was "hmmmm, how did that happen?" BUT knowing that weird things happen to your technology when you're a world away, I'm embracing the ambiguity and enjoying a late post of screenshot pics from our team (who may likely be still sleeping off their jet lag as I type).

I am so proud of this group of folks!!  Be sure to welcome them home if you see them this weekend.

It's about more than the work

Yesterday, our disaster response team spent the day working hard grinding stumps from fallen trees and replacing a fence damaged in the storm.

Check out some photos of Fairdale immediately following the storm at this link Images of Fairdale, IL tornado 2015, and below are some pictures taken by the team of the neighborhood they are serving.

The blue tarps on the roofs bring back memories of my time in Moore, OK...

I am grateful to be a part of a church that has a passion to work side by side people who have lost so much to a natural disaster.  For our disaster response teams building a fence isn't the end goal, its sharing God's love and our compassion for those who are hurting.

Please keep praying for God to use our team!
