We offer 3 services each weekend in our sanctuary.
Saturday | 5:00pm
Sunday | 9:00am & 10:45am
Because all three of our weekend services are identical, the only thing you need to figure out is the best time for you to make it to church. St. John is known for being about real people living real lives. When you hear a message at St. John, it's meant to apply to your life. Our messages are biblically sound and culturally relevant. Our music features anything from traditional hymns to contemporary Christian music. And, don't be surprised to hear a throwback song or a top 40 song if it helps connect what happens in church to what happens in real life. You'll leave service feeling more equipped to handle the tension of living your day to day life while still keeping focused on your LIFEjourney as a Christian. We have a Children's Ministry program at the 9:00am and 10:45am services. During the month of July, our Children's Ministry program is on summer break. Our Nursery rooms, for infants through PS3, is available during July at the 9:00am and 10:45am services. There's also a parent's room located just off the sanctuary allowing you to participate in service while your toddler has some room to roam. Our middle school students gather in our Cornerstone Youth Center at 10:030am on Sunday mornings for CORE. Our High School students have more casual gatherings and are listed on the website.
We know your life gets busy--whether you're single, married, raising a family or empty-nesters. While we don't offer mid-week services, except at Lent and Advent, you can always watch our services on demand!
If it's your first visit, we think it's best to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the start of the 9:00am and 10:45am Sunday morning services. This will give you plenty of time to check your child(ren), from birth to 5th grade, into our age-appropriate Children's Ministry rooms. If you have a student in Middle School, our Youth Ministry has programming for them that begins at 10:30am and dismisses at 12noon, during the school year. This makes worshiping at our 10:45am service convenient for their parents. Plus, you still have time to grab a cup of coffee and a doughnut at our Coffee Shop outside the sanctuary.
We have lots of parking and all of our buildings are handicap accessible. Many families with young children park on the east side of our campus for quick access to our Children's Ministry rooms. This is also easily accessible from the west side, too. Just ask one of our friendly volunteers at the door to help you find your way.
You will find encouraging and high-energy teaching based in the Bible. Along with helping you understand the Bible, our pastors apply the Word to today's life and challenge you to live these the other 6 days of the week.
Our 9:00am and 10:45am services are also streamed to allow you to attend service even when you can't join us in person or to check us out from the comfort of our home.
Don't stress over what to wear! If you're casual, come casual. Or, if you like your Sunday Best-wear that! We don't care. We just want you to be comfortable. So, it's not unusual to see the whole spectrum at any service.
Each worship service lasts around 65 minutes and will include singing, an offering, a few announcements and a great message with real-life illustrations and challenges. We'll have a time of prayer, and on the first and third Sunday of the month, we also offer communion.
We welcome your kids to join you in any of our worship services. We think it's an important part of family life to worship together. We also offer an age-appropriate Children's Ministry program for children from birth through 5th grade.
During the 9:00am and 10:45am services your child will learn a Bible story, pray and sing in a safe and nurturing environment. Our Children's Ministry program is located in the Next Generation Center on the east side of our campus. Children's Ministry is on summer break each year during the month of July.
Our Nursery is a fun and safe environment, for infants through three years old, to see and experience the love of God. Name tag security and nursery paging systems are in place to give parents peace of mind.
In Studio Jam, our preschoolers learn exciting and action packed Bible stories with meaningful small group experiences! With both large group and small group experiences, our Early Childhood program helps kids learn that He loves them and wants to be their friend forever!
Our kindergarten through third graders learn how to worship with creative story telling that allows kids to become part of the story.
Grapple allows our 4th and 5th graders to begin transitioning to the pre-teen years and begin tackling the tough questions of faith, relationships and real life issues.
Middle school students are encouraged to attend CORE on Sunday mornings at 10:30am during the school year. Info here: CORE
High School students attend worship with their family on Sunday morning, and have a unique high school service called The Summit on Sunday evenings. Info here: The Summit
You can attend Bible study classes or even get involved by volunteering at any of our services or in our Children and Student Ministry programs.
If you're like a lot of people, you may be hesitant to walk through the doors of a church. That's okay with us. You can check us out by live streaming services at 9:00am and 10:45am CST on Sunday mornings. We hope you will like what you see and join us in person, too.
Once a month, we offer a two-hour orientation called Getting Started. You will learn about our beliefs, mission and culture. Getting Started is a great way to go further faster at St. John. Whether you are brand new or have been attending for awhile, Getting Started is a great place to get your questions answered! Childcare is available with registration. Find out more information, a list of dates and register here. If you want to talk to a real person, we can do that, too! Simply, contact Julie Lorenz or call her at 636.779.2343.
